St John is a self-funded not-for-profit charity supporting the health and well-being of South Australians. Over 1000 volunteers contribute over $4.5 million dollars worth of volunteering hours for the South Australian community each year. Every year thousands of South Australians benefit from the care of our volunteers – whether it be at countless events across the state or in times of State Emergency.
Help us raise funds to support our First Aid in Schools program – training South Australian primary school children in lifesaving first aid skills.
Our FAiS program is training the next generation of little lifesavers. We aim to train over 10,000 SA primary school kids in vital first aid skills each year, equipping them with the ability and confidence to respond in an emergency situation.
This program generates great interest among schools and parents alike, with its ability to develop community resilience by training our youngsters in first aid. Often children are alone with their parent or grandparent and may need to be the one to call an ambulance or alert an adult to an emergency. FAiS builds this capacity within them so they can feel confident to help when needed.
